Mrs AL visited her Mum at a nursing home, leaving our car parked in one of the home slots. Whilst with her Mum two floors up, some cretin reverses violently into the back of our car, causing major damage, and shunts it forward a few feet.
In doing so, our car knocks over a concrete bollard, which then pitches into another parked car, taking out completely their passenger door. The owner then says that we are responsible, and will be claiming damages from us.
My question is, how is that possible when Mrs AL was not in the car at the time?
Any advice from legal eagles would be appreciated
