So watching the Cronx beer video on Eagles Members website I learned that Cronx is a sort of nickname for Croydon that grew out of the riots a few years back - OK so I'm sure you locals all knew that.
So is this a play on The Bronx of New York, or just one of those English things like calling Gary - Gaz, and Terry- Tez etc?
Seems if that was the case Croz or Croyz were have been more appropriate.
I know... I'm bored, but as someone born in Croydon I feel entitled to a need to know.
