Player Ratings And Reviews: Spurs (away)

Speroni 6 Should have caught a couple that he punched away. Slow distribution

Ward 7 Solid

Hangeland 7 turned once or twice, but fine.

Dann 8 MOM Our best defender when England scouts are not there

Kelly 6 I thought he was poor positionally but improved

Jedinak 6 Some good passes, but didn't win as much as normal

Mccarthur 6 Didn't impose himself on the game

Ledley 6 Missed our best chance

Bolasie 7 Always a threat

Chamakh 6 Better in 2nd half

Zaha 6 Beat his man a few times, and had a shot blocked that was going in, but final ball not there. also pushed off the ball too easily for my liking. It was right that he was hooked, but he WILL score goals in future games.

Subs:

Puncheon 7 Other than being offside when Chamakh was about to score he did ok. At least had a shot.

I felt we held out fairly comfortably and probably edged it on chances. I was disappointed that the midfield did not win more ball, especially as there were 3 ball winners, and there was not enough support for chamakh centrally. There seems to be a massive hole between Chamakh or whoever plays up front and the 3 centre mids. We need either Puncheon or Wilf to play there imho, so that we are not just a threat out wide. We don't need McJedley - it didn't help us win more turnover ball, and I think Jedinak or Ledley and Mcarthur is good enough to do the job. We have creative wide players. We just need a good centre forward who can score in January and we will stay up comfortably.
