Are we within touching distance of something special. It seem at present we are really holding our own in the league and a couple of key players especially a striker would really make a huge difference.
I think perhaps we are expecting too much from Zaha and actually all 3 wingers are proving relatively effective currently and their contribution would look much much better if there was a striker banging in the chances.
Whilst we could have won today and perhaps shouldnt have lost against Villa, all things considered a point away at Spurs is decent and we are still outside that dreaded relegation zone so bring on the next 4-5 games before re-inforcements are brought in.
What i do hope though is that we strike early in the transfer window and just accept that spending a bit more to get the business done early pays dividends by getting your new players in for those 3-4 January games.
Also have to say Warnock does seem to be slowly improving an becoming a credible Premier league manager capable of drawing the best out of big ego PL level footballers.
