Dave not Keen on Warnocky

CPFC BBS boss ‘Dave' has urged Neil Warnock to prove his worth after the manager slipped down the pecking order at Selhurst Park.

The 66-year-old has struggled to impress Palace fans, despite freak results against Scouse teams in his brief time with the Eagles.

Dave admits the former Ranger manager has failed to impress in matches and was ‘disappointed’ with his contribution including a late substitute in Saturday’s 1-1 home draw with Stoke.

"He hasn't pushed himself into pole position in matches really," said Dave. "I was disappointed with his changes against Stoke if I'm honest.

"And in the media he's not really knocked my door down.

"It's like Ollie earlier on: he has got to show me what they can do in matches, to get back into my good books.

Palace’s lack of firepower has hindered them in recent weeks, with the team scoring just once in their last three Premier League games.

Dave has made no secret of his desire to bring in a new manager and reports suggest the south Londoners are interested in brining back Tony Pulis or gamble on Sean Dych

"Everybody knows we'd like a proper manager in January," said the Dave. "It would have been nice to have more of tactical nous against teams like Stoke.

"It's not an easy time to win in January. But I'm optimistic we can get the right manager in as quickly as we can in January, rather than at the end of the window.

"It's pointless otherwise: in that situation we might as well go with what we've got.
