Kits for Ugandan Orphans

mercredi 14 mai 2014

Steve, this may be a long shot but if you don't ask you don't get so I thought I'd give it a whirl anyway.

This summer my family and I are travelling to the Kabale region of Southern Uganda to volunteer at a Community Based Organisation called Amatsiko: To view the link you have to Register or Login

Amatsiko provides, "basic food, clothing and bedding, supporting children through school, offering guidance and counselling services and teaching basic hygiene and sanitation."

As well as this, Amatsiko runs a sports academy which has been supported by the youth football club I coach at, Ruislip Town FC. We have donated kits and funds to buy other equipment such as shoes and balls for the children to use.

Now, onto the point of my post. Would CPFC like to donate to Amatsiko? Imagine how many lives could be changed, and Palace's profile be widened in Africa, with a donation of a set of kits to Amatsiko. To them it would be like gold dust and I would be happy to take the kits when we go and give them to the children in person. We could take lots of photos which would be excellent PR for the club, and would make a real difference to the lives of these disadvantaged and vulnerable children.

We leave on August 14th and would love to be able to spread the charitable and sporting word of CPFC to East Africa.

What do you reckon Steve?
