What has our country become?

dimanche 24 juillet 2022

A short list of our current problems, the level of which in my long life I have never known before. I cannot see an end to this, and I probably won't personally. Feel free to add to the list below:

Huge increases in home energy bills with more to come in October
Petrol up to nearly £2 a litre
Waiting hours outside A&E in an ambulances
Elderly patients still stuck in hospital beds that cannot be discharged to to a lack of care services at home
NHS waiting lists for essential appointments and treatments increasing to dangerous levels
The GP appointment system is failing patients like never before.
UK inflation, the highest now in Europe at over 9% and forecast to rise to 11% next year.
Corruption in government and wasted billions on crony contracts
A new PM leadership contest between two candidates pandering to the right wing of their party members
Holiday chaos at Dover now we are a third country to the EU
Staff shortages everywhere adversely affecting our ability to provide basic services
Food rotting in the fields due to a lack of field workers.
Trade deals recently negotiated damaging our own farming and fishing industries
The same trade deals not being the subject of the scrutiny of parliament.
Extreme freak weather caused by man made global warming and our PM candidates threatening to water down counter measures for the sake of expediency
