Interesting set of guests for a change.
High point was Paul Mason positively glowing at the prospect of what he called
" The Socialist Republic of Scotland " .
He still bangs on with the class dogma, " privately educated Conservatives etc ", that's not really a smart gong to bang considering the number of Conservative MP's who did not go private schools and the number of Labour MPs and Enobled whose children did/do.
He seems so desperate for a Venezuela in Europe he overlooks Labour cannot let Scottish independence happen if they have any expectation of a parliamentary majority in the foreseeable future.
For a change both the Labour and Conservative guests were reasonably sensible.
Am surprised Lisa Nandy seldom features in potential Leadership discussions these days despite coming third last time. Nandy vs Rayner would be a no brainer surely yet there quite a lot written about Starmer being worried RAyner would launch a leadership bid.
Andy Burnham is now going on so much about loving the Mayoral job it's surely only a case of when not if he returns to Westminster.
Would be interested to know what people here would think of Burnham as successor to Starmer and who would be preferred in a Burnham vs Khan scenario.
