Yep I had this idea before the last transfer window but was busy and although I got a friend (that some of you know as Hair Bear apparently) to ask Steve Parish about the rough idea of it I never put it on here.
And I've waited until we were mathematically safe to post it as we obviously wouldn't have the same sort of budget to recruit from abroad if in the Championship.
So yep, as the title says I know that loads of you on here have a great knowledge of foreign leagues. OK we now have Dougie Freedman as Director of Football and Iain Moody on the staff but if we are going to progress as a Club then we need to identify the best targets (hopefully new up-and-coming players) making the best use of our reasonable but when wages are taken into account not huge or inexhaustible transfer budget.
Our current scouts obviously have a very good knowledge of the leagues here, Premier, Championship, Division 1, Division 2, so it is to abroad where I feel that we can help.
And there are many many leagues out there with many many great young players but if we look at our most recent Premiership seasons it would seem that we have bought a lot of other Premiership teams cast-offs and it hasn't always worked>
And we seem to already have Turkey covered by the fact that we got Luka from there and almost bought Cenk Tosun.
SO, first step is for fans here to indicate which foreign leagues they think they have a pretty good knowledge of to enable them to suggest players.
So let us know CPFC Fans everywhere who see this thread and read this post. And I'll endeavour to do the rest to communicate with the Club.
