National Treasures

I know it’s a bit of a twatty term and it’s been given to no marks like Barbara Windsor and Cheryl Cole but are there any worthwhile candidates?
I was thinking Paul Weller for his body of work but is he a bit obscure for the general public and also the curmudgeon he is, he’d probably hate it!
