Savings and Protection plan for my family

I'm a mom and I'm thinking about the protection, health and welfare of my family. I need to know your opinion and views about this. For financial matters, savings and other protection plans. What do you consider? Do you consult an insurance company, financial organization, credit union for your financial plans or health needs? Or just go to banks for a loan?
