PARDEW....

dimanche 7 mai 2017

There's not a thread dedicated to him as far as I can see, plenty of the players are (deservedly) getting stick ,but if anyone deserves some its him....

Imo, He is more to blame than anyone for our current situation.

Failed to identify that we clearly needed a decent attacking midfielder, nor a decent keeper, bought in NO cover at all at left back, which in turn meant that once Souare was ruled out for the season, Ward had to spend large parts of the season playing out of position and in turn we had to rely on Kelly at right back..a double whammy!

Sold our.most influential captain for years (Jedi) for pittance because he didn't like the power he had in the dressing room, even though he was our only real leader, failed to replace him..
There were other rumours of him falling out with senior players too due to his training methods and lack of defensive ideas..

He royally f#cked up our best chance of winning silverware for decades too, I won't even mention the dance, although that sums up the man's ego.

He managed to get all our supposedly better players underperforming, Townsend a prime example...

He opted for a strange gung-ho style of play that never works in the premier league, you have to be defensively sound as a "smaller" team..

Although Parish also must share some blame, he employed an old boys/friends network of inexperienced coaches.. salako etc:wallbash:

At the start of last season we were flying,(up to 5th in the league) but we were not playing particularly well, we were getting lucky with results, He was all over the Telly touting himself for the England job...His (already massive) ego went into overdrive..then we went into freefall and went through one of the longest , most depressing periods I can remember in recent times watching palace, (2016 - worst team in all leagues combined) Yes i do remember the Taylor/burley/freedman eras... but this was worse imo.

This carried on into this season and Parish pulled the trigger, still might prove to of been too late , we shall find out soon, no one can really blame Sam Allardyce for this as he was bought in for a reason , to save us and try to undo the work that Pardew had done..

Sam can only work with the players he is given (Hennessey/Kelly/Delaney/Ward/chungy etc) and took a few weeks to get the players fitter and playing properly to their strengths... the lack of leadership in the team is still clear to see and the poor recruitment too, Allardyce wouldn't be here in the first place if Pardew wasn't such a bell end. He is a firefighter and renowned for saving clubs... let's hope he can save us this season!

What winds me up most is now seeing Pardew all over sky/BT etc , once again touting hi.self for another top job!! Also saying he wanted to manage a club where he has a chance of winning trophys, you couldn't make it up, he also thinks we are totally safe (said so on goals on sunday) He is also just not capable of taking any blame and instead tries to pin it on Parish for not backing him!:clown:

Sorry for the extra long post but this man deserves more blame than ANYONE else at the club, the Geordies hated him/ the hammers hated him as did the Charlton fans, I think it's fair to say that were spot on!

An extremely average player for us who scored ONE very important goal, he's dined off that for years...

Rant over...
