Lots of testimony from witnesses from both sides to assess mental fragility and remorse of the convict.
What is most shocking to me, before the hearing has started, is that the divvy judge, Thokozile Masipa, who gave him a conviction for manslaughter, which was then overturned to Murder, is doing the sentencing. I have no confidence in her ability to do anything in a courtroom.
I am confused by the BBC statement that "Pistorius will get a minimum of 15 years",and then goes on to say "but his sentence can be reduced due to time already spent in prison and mitigating factors."
Equally, he could get a bigger sentence for being a ****, idiot and a pathological liar with a love of, (and access to), guns.
I hope Gerrie Nel is on form and tears Pistorius a new one. Then Mr.Big in jail can spent many years educating his new 'cell buddy'
