I am sure that Parish, Pardew and Co are busy searching over the close season for the vital missing pieces to get us more success next season. But having just come back for Germany I can tell them that they are literally digging and searching in the wrong place.
Visiting Munich's Residenz Museum I was overwhelmed with the vast number of Holy Relics collected there over the centuries - hands, feet, bits of bones of saints and John the Baptist's skull ( I think he must have been multi-faceted as a number of other places also have a genuine one as well).
And who is Germany's most successful football team ?
Bayern Munich.
Coincidence? I don't think so.
And how come lowly, Leicester suddenly become a success story, just after discovering Richard III's body.
Another coincidence?
No , if Steve, Alan want to guarantee success next season, forget searching Europe for new talent and start digging up Selhurst Park Car Park (and Sainsbury's too as well).
Surely Croydon must have some relics (now there's a feed line for some-one).
Perhaps the Princes in the Tower were reburied in Thornton Heath ? Excalibur and King Arthur always seems to appear on these occasions.
Who knows until we start digging ?
You know it makes sense.
