The Holmesdale Stand

jeudi 5 mai 2016

I'm probably alone in this but for years, since it was built, I've wondered what numpty decided to have 'Palace Eagles!' spelt out on the seats.

I have always thought it should have simply said 'Crystal Palace'.

The bright sparks among you will say that there are only 6 blocks on the top tier and 'crystal' has 7 letters. This is true.

The word 'Palace' with a '!' is 6 letters and 1 character so if that same numpty inverted the seating configuration then it would have worked perfectly.

Or, how about this question. Why did the stand not have the same amount of blocks top and bottom? If anything the bottom tier narrows so that should have less blocks, if either were to have less.

The proverbial cherry on the top of the cake question is, why not reconfigure the top tier so it can have a name written that doesn't look 'amateur hour'.

But that is just me...
