Just top say that I met one of your ex players - Jimmy Belcher - in a secure care home in Dagenham earlier in the week. He had only been admitted there about a week before.
I see he played over a 100 times for you in the mid 1950s scoring 38 goals before being signed for the princely sum of £1250 for Ipswich Town by non other than Alf Ramsey.
As a football nut myself I managed to get through to him (he had played at youth level at Orient) and you could tell the passion he still has for the game and that of all the clubs he played for Palace was the one for him.
He's not obviously in the best of health but you can still have a great conversation with him.
