Beer Festival Victim Bingo

jeudi 29 janvier 2015

...so I've been on hold for ages and was bored.

So I went through the Beer festival thread to take out all the key words, soundbytes, cliches and phrases by those who are moaning about £2.

To save people having to read through it all and to fast-track people's despair, below is a summary of the feedback:

-Rise

-over priced rip off

-unrealistic entry price

-Another 25% beats inflation by a long mile

-Nasty price hike

-Unnecessary

- It does not need to be £10

- pushing it

- won't sell out

- £15 on the day!

-a bit rum

- Is there a tax/duty advantage to charging a higher entrance fee and giving out more 'free' beer?

- inherently greedy

- why do they feel the need to hike the price every year?

- inflated ticket prices

- symbolic of a constant desire to simply squeeze that little bit more out of the fans we have seen time and time again from Parish

- twist the knife a little more each time

- massive 25% increase

- diappointingly premier league greedy

- now the entrance fee has increased again

- a money grabbing opportunity

- priced out of this years event

- Bit annoying that the price has almost doubled since I last went (2013) but as long as it doesn't keep rising I suppose it's a reasonable amount to charge

increase profits

- Increasing the costs lessons the enjoyment when you have the budget of most working class supporters.

- I am a man of principal, and am not as simply won over as a pint and a bout of awkward small talk with Mr Brew-It.

- this isn't about two quid, honestly mate

- Some of us are becoming increasingly tired of continually being milked like the cash cows we are.

- When I attend these events it's with a group of friends I've been going to Palace with for far longer than CPFC2010 have been in charge, and all of whom Id imagine are far better company.

- FWIW I have no great issue with mr Browett,

- dwarf-hurling festival

- but that doesn't detract from how a lot of fans feel.

- I think there is an ever increasing awareness (by football fans up and down the country) of the need for football clubs across the board... to put it bluntly, to stop taking the piss out of us

- My observations are not about two ******* quid!

- How a consumer is expected to know that in years before it was run at a loss or break even, is silly.

- My gripe was never about the £2 price increase,

- its only £2 its nothing to the club

- when is it going to stop?
