Can we stop pedalling this phrase at every opportunity please?
"If Bolasie could shoot, he wouldn't be playing for us."
"If Jedinak could pass, he wouldn't be playing for us."
"If Chamakh could score more goals, he wouldn't be playing for us."
All these statements may be true, but constantly highlighting it all the time comes across as small time. I don't know where this terminology has crept from, but it's a snidey way of saying that Palace as a club haven't quite got "there". We are in the Premier League, which is "there" IMO, let's build a team we are proud of.
If a so called bigger club comes in for one of our players so be it, but let's cut out the attitude that we got some sort of "warts and all" team of misfits. We have some very good International players.
I don't remember in the Championship and Admin days people spurting out this rubbish.
