We're told that driverless cars are going to be the norm in years to come. Not sure how far away that will be now, but probably within my lifetime and I'm almost 60.
Now I can imagine there is great division amongst people as to whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. Personally I see it as one the greatest advancements since in my lifetime. I think it could potentially change the way we view ownership of cars and public transport.
There will be no need to own a car again, you will be able to rent cars for different purposes, including long distant travel and commuting and shopping. Potentially everyone will use this as almost zero danger public transportation.
There is also scope for putting electrical grids/power points in the body of the roads so cars charge whilst being driven from the road surface.
So is anyone else looking forwards to the greatest change in transportation since someone stuck a horse in front of a wheel.
What do you reckon ?
