I have been informed that Danny Light passed away about a couple of weeks ago, aged 66.
Danny signed pro forms in 1965 (aged 17) and made his debut at the end of the 1966-67 season scoring twice on his debut in the 4-1 defeat of Hull at Selhurst Park on May 6th 1967. A week later he scored again in the final game of the season, a 4-1 victory over Wolves also at Selhurst Park.
In 1967-68 Danny made 20 League and Cup appearances, playing on either wing, and netted a further two goals. In the summer of 1968 Danny signed for Colchester United and then, I believe, moved into non-league football.
