I'm still hugely positive about the long term future under CPFC 2010 but we will suffer this season from our Football League management and coaching set up.
Just like Alan Irvine is way out of his depth, I believe that Warnock, despite having a nice time, will be similarly found out.
I like him but lots of promotions does not make you a manager capable of getting a squad like ours the 40 points needed.
We have a good squad but it isn't great, and it was vital we had a set up installed that could avoid second season syndrome.
It's early days I know but 2 points from 12 with Everyon away coming up is not great. We don't look as strong defensively and we may struggle to get a goal.
I admire the sentiments from the club that they want to carry on Pulis work but how many managers out there try and emulate other successful managers and simply don't meet the mark.
Pulis was very special; a fanatic and tactical genius. Warnock has been a manager forever and hasn't achieved anything of note, that is a fact unfortunately.
Millen is a top man, clearly a good coach but when the chips are down, none of our set up are going to offer inspiration backed up with experience (of the prem) and substance.
I don't think relegation would ruin is however, we have a low wage bill and many of the squad will no doubt stay put.
Desperately hope I'm wrong but we have a horrific end to the season fixtures wise so the points need to start coming from somewhere.
