Hi all
Dorking, For my Partner and I, has so far ticked all the boxes and more when deciding on an area to live and bring up our newborn baby. The commute in to central London looks like quite a trek, but we are willing to sacrifice our 20 minute journey to move somewhere that has some stunning surrounding scenery and the property seems to be a bit more affordable than most other areas close to London.
The only stumbling block that could sway our decision to move to the area is the over crowding of the rush hour trains in the mornings at Dorking (main). Being on an overcrowded train for an hour each way to London would not be fun, but could probably be bearable if there were available seats when getting on at Dorking
If there is anyone on here that travels in the morning rush hour-between 6 and 8 am- from Dorking to London, and could give any advice on the above, I'll buy you a pint of Cronx at the next home game.
Cheers
Simon
