Very interesting comments from Lord Tony on 5 Live this afternoon.
Whilst panic seems to be taking over, although important to note the BBS and angry Tweeters only account for 5% of actual fans - there does seem to be the usual transfer window hysteria.
Tony said (paraphrasing) that the group who kept us up worked a miracle. They put in an incredible effort and showed what they could do, especially as we grew in confidence towards the end of the season. He seemed to suggest that these guys should not be upset or put out by bringing in a whole host of signings.
I agree with him. Part of the trouble with Ollie's transfer policy probably rocked the boat a little too much. I think the team we have deserve a chance, I still expect us to add 2 more players to the team, but all in all, I think our strength is that we play as a team, we're not blessed with individuals who poses match winning skills, but we have a side who can carry out a plan.
Should we have more faith in last season's heroes? For me, we should, with a couple of additions, the side should remain free from wholesale changes.
