So it's happening again. Scandal and intrigue hanging over South London's finest football club - just when everything seemed set fair for another season of consolidation.
I think we can expect some pretty lurid headlines and accusations over the coming days, but that's nothing new to us, is it? If, as seems likely, this sh1tstorm gathers pace, might I respectfully suggest that we all please remember the following.
We are Palace. We'll always be Palace. We've got a lot to be proud of - a fantastic team, a devoted and passionate fanbase, the best atmosphere of any English ground, and a singular identity which sets us apart from every other club.
It would be easy to forget there's a match on Saturday. It'll be here soon enough. Everything else that happens is out of our control, so let's support the players with everything we've got - as has of course become the norm in recent years.
