Due to the demand we have secured a 2nd
Fitter Fans programme. Aged 30-39 years.
This course will work alongside the 40 year old plus course.
We have two strands to the Eagle Fitter Fans Programme:
• 10 Week Introductory Programme
• Weekly Football Sessions
The 10 week introductory programme consists of a 2 hour weekly session free of charge.
Each session has an informative workshop and fitness session with a weigh in and waist measure. The workshops vary each week and are built around:
• Salts
• Sugars
• Fats
• Food Labels
• Smoking
• Alcohol Consumption
• Fluid Intake
• Physical Activity
• Q & A session with ex-player
• Men’s Health
The fitness sessions also vary, it may be:
• Swimming
• Circuits
• Walking Football
• Gym Inductions
• Goals 5-a-side
• Futsal
Once a participant has completed the 10 weeks, they are then given opportunity to attend the weekly football sessions at Goals Soccer Centre. The first two sessions are free and then a small contribution is payable. This session attracts over 40 participants who have all attended the 10 week introductory programme. They play 5-a-side football and have been known to enter small sided leagues as part of the on-going programme of living a healthy lifestyle through Crystal Palace FC Foundation.
As an added bonus, the social element allows you to meet new people with similar common interests of a similar age. It also gives an opportunity to volunteer at Fitter Fans as well as a chance to have a pitch presentation during a match day experience.
“Attending the 10 week programme has changed my life around, I now take notice of what I am eating and trying to stay healthy. I have recently got my bike fixed and am cycling everywhere instead of driving short distances! As a result, I have lost more weight than I imagined I could but most of all, I have enjoyed it!” - Fitter Fan
We are looking for men aged 30-39 and over 40’s, for the new cohort starting on Wednesday 18th, 7pm-9pm June for 10 weeks.
