Hi sorry for lengthy post, and feel very cheeky asking for this help, however.....
Background info to this is I have to develop a application to submit for my final year project, the problem is throughout my course we haven't done development and the course hasn't been about development, so why they make us create this is beyond me, however that is another story!
After using dreamweaver and visual studio which I couldn't get my head round, i ended up using a program called WebMatrix to develop my application. However I am having a few problems which i'm hoping someone can help me with.
The project is an asset management application, whereby an admin can log in have access to restricted pages, which are to add modify and delete assets or users, then a general user can log in search for an asset and request it.
The problems i am having are when an admin selects either the edit or delete options for an asset or user the information isn't being pulled through to their respective pages to edit/delete.
I am not sure how to restrict access to certain pages, and can't create a log on page! Finally i am not sure on how when a user submits a request to take the data from that form and send it in an email.
I know most of this doesn't make sense without the actual code, but just finding out if someone may potentially know how to do this, languages im using are C# HTML PHP and SQL.
If someone can help, can you send PM with email so I can send over my project so you can have a look at the code etc etc, and guide me in the right direction
