Chamakh (hamstring) is out, and will be assessed again in the middle of next week. An injury which TP described as 'bad', so he must be regarded as doubtful for Newcastle too.
Barry Bannan had 'the flu' and wasn't in training yesterday and he will be checked later today, as will Gabbidon who hasn't trained for the last two days.
Everybody else is fit and raring to go. The players are flying up to the North East from Gatwick this afternoon, so will not have to spend 6+ hours on a coach - which would not good preparation!
Tony would like to get the Chamakh/Murray partnership going again as soon as possible. He was very impressed with Glenn last week, so I would expect that he will start again tomorrow.
I asked him about Barry Bannan & Adlene Guedioura not being involved too much over the last few weeks but he said team selection was all about getting the right mix. It's always a difficult one I know, but if you ask 10 fans what side they would pick, you'd probably get 10 different line-ups.
An early start for everyone else tomorrow morning. I've got a good feeling about this one, and with the upcoming games we really need a win if we can possibly get it. I'm sure the players will give their all.
I don't get the supporters coaches very often, but I'm on coach 2 tomorrow. I'd be delighted to record some views particularly on the way back which will go out on the website and on the morning of the Chelsea game on 1278am. Please seek me out if you're travelling tomorrow.
Cheers
Jerry
