Will Roy drop Benteke?

Well will he? I am a big Benteke critic. I just do not think we can continually persevere with his poor performances. I just do not buy into the notion he is doing everything right bar scoring. Anything other than a ball in the air his touch is terrible, he gets so easily pushed off the ball and just looks to me he has completely lost his will and desire to get out of this hideous rut he is in. His goals at Leicester and West Ham have done noting for his confidence and seems unable to kick on. All that being said Roy would need to be brave to drop Benteke, once Wilf is back would be a safer bet but do we think he will drop Benteke against United and play Sorloth up top on his own? I think theres more of an outlet with Sorloth and will hold the ball and suppress the pressure better than Benteke from what i've seen. Surely if we keep playing Benteke we will continue to get the same results. I think its time, actually its beyond time imo to go with a another option through the middle. It would be a big call from Roy but he has shown with dropping players for poor performances this season he is more than prepared to make them.

Bands that are much better than the song they are best known for

samedi 3 mars 2018

Inspired by the one hit wonders thread.

Some bands are best known for one particular song, sometimes so much so that many people aren't familiar with the rest of their catalogue.

I am not really talking about one hit wonders here but have you got any examples of artists whose biggest hit(s) aren't necessarily representative of their broader catalogue. Bands whose other stuff is well worth exploring with an open mind.

I will start the ball rolling with The Pogues or Slade (purely coincidental that both are associated with Christmas songs).

Money in football

There is much debate about spending money in football. We casually talk about millions spent on players and wages. Man City will no doubt be champions and it had to be said they play some exciting football. BUT since Pep took over in 2016 they have spent 448 million notes. Just one club. How can football square that outside of the football world it does not make sense morally. In fact tough to justify it at all.

White House on lockdown

Shots fired apparently, more to follow.
