I have created a new website called South London and Proud as a home for all my Crystal Palace related blog posts and podcast though the main reason for the website is because I was asked to create a new discussion forum.
Some of you might think it is a tad cheeky to make a post about a new Palace discussion forum on a Palace discussion forum but I disagree because I am not trying to compete with this or any other Palace forum.
I have always been of the opinion that the more the merrier when it comes to blogs, podcasts, YouTube channels and so on about Crystal Palace. It can only help the community grow particularly as we become more known as a club.
In fact I have on many occasions helped people with their Palace projects because having more sites and media can only be a good thing. Hopefully having more choice will help Palace fans find a site, podcast or whatever that suits them. After all, we all have different tastes.
So, if you are interested in a new discussion forum to compliment your online Palace activity, I look forward to seeing you there.

Here are a couple of anticipated questions but feel free to ask me anything you are curious about.
Why didnt you approach insert site here to make a forum for them?
I did approach a couple of people such as FYP, BotN, etc but they werent interested. On one occasion I given a virtual pat on the head and sent on my way like a little boy.
Is your site another news site?
No! My site is just a blog for my views on football, mainly Palace, its not a news site.
Are you doing this to get income via adverts?
No! My sites contain no adverts whatsoever and never will. I hate sites that publish click bait posts and will never lower myself to that type of activity for 0.002p (or whatever) per click.
So, how do you make money?
I dont. I dont do this for money, it is a hobby. The whole site was set up for under £20 and took maybe 8 hours to do here and there. One issue took 60% of that time (the auto email for registrations) so it would have been a lot faster.
If I sign up to the forum will I get spammed with posts from your sh*t blog?
No! The two are completely different software systems. My sh*t blog wont bother you. :) If you link directly to the forum you need never see a sh*t blog post in your life.
Why should I sign up to another forum when I am happy here?
You shouldnt. If you are happy here I am not asking for you to move. The forum on my site is a compliment to all the Facebook groups and two main Palace forums (HOL and BBS) because some people have expressed dissatisfaction with certain aspects of the discussion forums currently on offer.
So what is different with your forum?
To be honest, I am not 100% sure why some people are dissatisfied with what is currently on offer but felt compelled to create a forum as an option because I was asked and it isnt difficult to do.
Who decides the rules?
The members do. If there is a contentious issue I will run poles. Basically the only thing I am against is people being abusive to each other but apart from that I believe in an open debate.
