Although the UK is becoming more and more atheist and agnostic, globally those believing in god is apparently stabilising or even increasing and is around 85%.
I find this staggering in the 21st century that so many hang on to a medieval belief system. But I guess as Marx said religion isn't just the opium of the masses, but also flowers in the chains of oppression. Still I thought we would have moved on by now.
