I was listening to an old interview with Sir Ken Dodd on radio today. Funny man, even into his 90's.
Then I recalled some classic comedy of my childhood.
The Goons. Spike Milligan became an eco-warrior in his spare time. I recall him assisting cleaning a village pond with other volunteers, and then grabbing a passing cyclist and shaming him into helping.
Harry Secombe went all religious. Singing on 'Songs of Praise' in the twilight of his career.
And Bill Oddie. He was the funniest of the Goodies, in my opinion. (the others were too educated for a child like me). He is the most obnoxious/serious person when discussing birdlife in the meeja.
Lost my fondness of him some time ago.
I would love to kill a seagull , right in front of Bill Oddie, just to see him go mental. (although killing seagulls is a criminal offence). Or smash loads of rare birds eggs.
