Roger Hoy, Crystal Palace and Spurs legend of the sixties, has died in an aged care home in northern New South Wales from the side effects of dementia. The former tough tackling defender fought the disease in typical rugged style but finally succumbed early on Friday morning (Nov 9) with family and friends at his bedside. Spookily, Palace and Spurs meet at Selhurst Park this weekend. Hopefully, fans of both clubs will give him a rousing farewell either before or during the game. Roger was 71.
