Right. Firstly, I am as disappointed as everyone else with tonight's performance. We looked devoid of fitness, fight or ideas. Yes there needs to be a major overhaul on and off the pitch. I have faith that the board will splash the cash and improve our position.
But, and there is a but, we really need to play our part. I totally understand that it's hard to keep on cheering and singing when we're playing pants and it's freezing cold. Really, I do. But we need to make Selhurst a fortress of sound again. We need to make it an intimidating atmosphere as we did under Pulis. If we are all resigned to relegation already the players will absorb that and then the vicious cycle continues. It was blatantly clear how much we improved when the crowd got behind the team.
So - a little plea from someone who has seen a lot of ups and downs in her 25 years as a Palace fan. At our next home match, let's sing our hearts out and get behind the team for the whole match. We have been in far worse positions than this. We may not all like Big Sam. We may have our reservations about some of our team and their lack of passion. But we are Palace and we can do this. Keep the faith.
