Probably not a popular view but it's a theory I've got. If there's one thing I don't think you could accuse the players of under Pardew it's lack of effort and passion and last night they all looked completely uninterested. It can't help the players when they're looking over to the bench and seeing the manager slumped in his chair not looking interested.
Look back to the signings of Cabaye, Remy and Tomkins for example and the popular opinion was that they signed because we had a manager that they previously enjoyed working with. Wilf made no secret of how gutted he was that Pardew had been sacked and maybe he wasn't alone in that. All in all I'm probably wrong but could the less than inspired start under BFS be down to the players not buying into the new management style?
