Supply and Demand (Just for fun...)

mardi 8 novembre 2016

Was randomly thinking about the price differences between shops and their products earlier and got me thinking, if you could trade between shops what profit could be made, so here's a little game/challenge for anyone as bored as me!

I'll start the ball rolling...

Buy - Large Latte - Greggs - £2.00
Sell to Muffin Break - £2.63 (63p profit)

(It would carry on like this, I'll do another one so you get the idea - I have £2.63 following the last trade, I can buy something cheaper and carry over my left over into the profit but the idea is the bigger the better with what you have!) Special offers - such as buy one get one free are allowed and encouraged to get bigger profits! Products (can be anything as long as you can afford it - games console, tv, car etc.) can be bought from any retailers (shops or online) but not from auction sites such as ebay.

Buy - Uncle Ben's Chicken & Mushroom Risotto (250g) - Tesco - offer 89p x2 - £1.78 (85p left over)

Sell to Asda - £2.29 x2 - £4.58 (+85p) = £5.43 (£2.83 profit)

So whoever goes next has £5.43 to spend... This thread may sink but let's see :)
