There have been lots of comments from AP about this year being a transition year for the squad. I assume that we're looking to do something like Stoke did post-Pulis.
I can't recall a time that we have ever managed this type of thing well. The only example I can think of is the Alan Smith team (after a relegation).
It does seem like the core of the promotion team is gone with Jedi and Yala's move. I've seen a lot of negativity on the transfer hotline about this, but my view is that the only way that we can break this current 2016 run is to get in better quality players throughout the squad.
I go back to comments AP and SP have made about being in a good position to pick up squad players from the top 4, and this is only going to happen as the window closes. I think that we all need to hold our nerve here and trust the Board through this period which is new to all of us (as this is the first time that we've been 4 years in the top flight).
