Odd one here and I hope not too sinister.
I get a random beep from my PC, same sound as when I plug or unplug a USB in and when I look up the webcam light on the built in monitor is just flicking off.
Can't find any unwanted software/spyware on the machine, skype is off, any suggestions what it could be or where to look to see if the PC is hijacked?
