Just want to gauge opinion.
My opinion is that although there has been games (and times within games) when we have been woeful, this is not been consistent over the 12 games so we have to look at other reasons as well.
And I'm sorry to badger the point, but some of the officials we have had have been absolutely woeful..
What angers me the most is the consistency. It is apparently ok for yannick and Wilf be man handled and get a free kick (this didn't just happen yesterday, remember Bournemouth) yet poor old benteke should get every sympathy and have right for going down yesterday. The attitude is different as well - we have a go at Wilf et al for not being stronger despite being man handled, yet those same people accept benteke should of had a penalty!
I see week in week out teams performing the dark arts, like what Bournemouth did, and officials doing nothing to protect our players. Yet as soon as we try fighting fire with fire, into the book the player goes so they can't make the same challenge again!!
For once, this is not a thread about our own performances, there are plenty of them about if you want to contribute. This is about the influence officials have in matches. As you can tell, I think they are having a major influence at times, and always against us.
