Tonight an interesting thing happened. Pellegrini was sending on Mangala for Kompany in the second half, the 4th official raised the board showing said substitution, Kompany then refused to come off and told Mangala to sit back down. The 4th official pointed to the "card" City had filled in for the sub. Then nothing happened.
Is there an official moment when you can't change your mind about something like this as the game was stopped and the board was raised showing the sub? (Not that I care, just curious)
And an aside it looked most telling that Kompany was seemingly running the show over his manager.
