This could be one we could look at. I don't quite know how valued he is at Newcastle but I'm sure Alan Pardew thought a lot of De Jong in his time at Newcastle. Pardew said he was technically one of the best players he'd ever worked with and made him Newcastle's vice captain in his first season at the club.
I watch a lot of Dutch Football and De Jong was very much in the class of Eriksen in his days at Ajax, good in the air and very clinical in front of goal. Not to forget his sheer class and intelligence on the ball. Could compete with Chamakh to play behind the striker or even as the lone forward.
Like I say I don't know the likelihood or probability of this happening as I don't know how valued he is at Newcastle. But with a budget in place Pardew might possibly look to bring him here?
