Just read a novel by John Grisham called The Confession, about the Death Penalty in the States. Made me wonder when the next one real execution was.
It's Andrew Brannan on January 13th. He was a decorated Vietnam war vet, suffering 100% PTSD. Killed a cop who stopped him for speeding in 1998. Convicted in 2000.
Clemency pleas ongoing at the 11th hour. The killing was videoed by a camera on the cops car. It's chilling but tells us a lot about Brannan and his condition.
Questions are, do you favour the death penalty and if so, would this case warrant it?
