Whilst not everyone`s cup of tea ,last season with Jerome up top allowed us to attack with the confidence knowing he would hold the ball up to allow the midfielders to join the attack.This season when the ball is played up to campbell it comes back too easily ,leaving the midfielders in no-mans land.The oppositions centre backs are strolling around knowing they wont be bullied or in a physical battle.Yes i know Jerome missed chances but i defy anyone to tell me we look more dangerous this year.We can moan about the managerial situation but also we must look at Parish and co,after our finish last season it would not have taken a fortune to consolidate our position in the premier league.Instead the summer was spent wrangling with Pulis over what budget he had,so that when he left there was no time to buy players.Before everyone gets on their high horse about administration blah blah blah ,we would not go bust as we accumulated a tidy sum for finishing half way up the table and correct me if i am mistaken aren`t Parish and co worth 500 million between them.Anyone who watches the PL knows that outside the top 7 or 8 teams ,you could finish 9th one season and fighting relegation the next,so with a modicum of investment we could have bought a few quality players instead of wasting money on AJ,Doyle and the likes.Finally lets stop whinging about decisions and Neil Warnock and carry on supporting the team selected and turn Selhurst into a fortress where no team likes to come.
