What do you believe?

Having seen the thread started by Harry Bassett on the General Palace Discussion section about his (almost) DIL Alex, and a request for prayer, I have noticed a lot of differing messages of support and encouragement.

So, what is it you believe when you cross your fingers? What 'vibes' do you send and how? Do you wish upon a star? How do you transmit the thoughts, and what do you think? What do you place your hope in?



This is a genuine question - please do not think I am mocking anyone elses beliefs, I am truely intrigued by what these statements mean to people.
