Hoping for a sensible adult discussion here and no hidden agendas.
I think it's fair to say our fanbase was very divided with the appointment of Pulis, with the main argument of successful football v style. I was very much against it but have to admit I've been very impressed with the way he has handled the situation, not only with keeping us up but the way he has handled the players we have, and his vision for the future of the club.
Not only that but we have played some decent football, showing that maybe it's not all about the long ball with him.
However, there are still some question marks over his ability to bring in the smaller, more technical type players like Jonny Williams and there is still the idea that he only signs players over 6ft unless they are wingers, which has yet to be dispelled.
Watching his interview with Geoff Shreeves in May was interesting but I couldn't help notice he went very defensive when asked questions about his style of football and being stereotyped, which he actually said he played on to strike fear into opponents (forgive the 30 second advert). He is obviously rightly very proud of his time at Stoke and what he achieved, but the question is, is he capable of changing his style whilst still keeping the success? I still find it hard to believe that Mark Hughes is a better manager than TP and think it would be a shame if down the line we let him go for the same reasons Stoke did.
