Discussion: Any hope of a new striker still?
Excuse the ignorance but what hope is there still of getting a striker?
How long do we have to get (1) a free agent and (2) a loan from abroad?
What are our best options in each case?

Budapest Accommodation
Looking back at past Budapest threads - there does not appear to be one covering accommodation.
My wife and her friend are planning to spend 3 or 4 nights in Budapest and are looking for a centrally located clean hotel in a area where the can venture out at night to eat. They don't intend to be in the hotel much so it does not have to have lots of facilities. Having said that if it had a pool that's a bonus.
We have previously stayed in 3 star hotels centrally in Rome, Madrid and Barcelona - all of which have been great.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Discussion: Transfer Windows Still Open
To view the link you have to Register or Login
This site shows 55 countries throughout the world where the transfer window is still open with another 5 where the window will open soon.
With 25 registered players currently qualified as over 21 the only way we can bring in further free agent players is by selling players to these countries before there individual deadlines.
In order to stop clubs cheating the system you cannot now simply cancel a players contract outside of our window in order to free up a space whilst incoming players must have had their previous contracts cancelled before the end of our transfer window.
The most attractive leagues are Spain (Sept 1 at 23:59 local time) and Turkey (Sept 8 at 23:00). Australia and New Zealand (both Oct 16) could be attractive to British players whilst Qatar (Sep 30) could be most lucrative.
The last current window to close is Yemen on Nov 23rd and then there is always Niger which is openning in 75 days time until Jan 31 2018.
We need to call in all possible favours with foreign contacts and agents to create openings for the additional strikers we obviously still need.

25 man squad 2017/18 what are we working with?
So I think I am right in thinking that the 25 man squad needs to be announced pretty sharpish - later today?
So we know our frailties but what will our 25 man list consist of and where might there be gaps for free agents (I know).
Wayne Hennessey
Julian Speroni
Joel Ward
Scott Dann
Martin Kelly
Damien Delaney
Mamadou Sakho
James Tomkins
Patrick van Aanholt
Jeffrey Schlupp
Andros Townsend
Wilfried Zaha
Bakary Sako
Chung Yong Lee
Yohan Cabaye
James McArthur
Jason Puncheon
Luka Milivojevic
Christian Benteke
Connor Wickham
Jordon Mutch
Freddie Ladapo
We have 22 senior pros we can name. And that includes Mutch and Wickham who won't be fit till January.
