Who of us has ventured into this - either full on or in part?

Did you partake in a Covid project that you have since regretted?

We have a few strips of the stuff at my place, but nothing more.

Suggestion: Carlos Borges

I'd bloody love to nick him off the Spammers right at the last minute.

The kid is going to be a star.

Reportedly £14m with a £40m Buy-Back clause.

Discussion: Free Agent List

To view the link you have to Register or Login

Ainsley Maitland-Niles has obviously been discussed elsewhere but, is there anyone else on that list who could be picked up with no fee and would excite you?

Unfortunately for me it looks like the only ones I would really consider throwing a Trial too etc. are for positions that we already have covered.

Speculation: Who will our next signing be?

Assuming Franca gets over the line, who's the next incoming?

A few we've been linked with here.

Restoring a formatted hard drive

Over the weekend I intended to format a USB drive but in my haste I reformatted my external hard drive instead :wallbash: This drive has 10,000+ records, years of photos etc. I installed Disk Drill which analysed the drive, found all of the files but when I clicked 'Recover' it asked me for £85 to install the pro version as the trial would only recover 500mb (i need about 400gb).

Is there another way of restoring? Or do I need to stump up £85 and write off as a cost of being a muppet

Can you be offended if you are white?

So I have been watching a programme on BBC I player call Dreaming whilst black. Some of the scenes in it play on very heavily on white people being stupid and stereotypical, for example a woman who is a judge at a competition to a mainly black audience says "I am a judge but I am sure that wont scare you as most of you scallywags have been in front of a judge before" It then shot straight to the main character who of course had a look of shock on his face. I am sure the bloke who wrote this will fall back on things like this happened to me, and I dont doubt in the past it would have. But I just find all of it a bit obvious and a little insulting.
so the question is can I and should I be offended?

Health and Safety Tree Survey

In our garden we have 12 mature trees all of which are on or near the borders of neighbouring properties.
I understand our responsibility to maintain these trees in good order and the potential liability if we don't.
I need to get a report on the health of the trees which would satisfy any legal and/or insurance issues but don't really know where to start apart from random internet checking.
Does anyone have any experience or suggestions?

Rules are as follows

1 Every player has 200 points to bet with in the first round.

2 Each separate bet made is 10 points meaning players have 20 bets during the first 20 days. Maximum bet on a single market is 10 points, same rule applies for identical multis (basically no duplicate bets though you can do a team A, team B double on one bet and then add team C for a treble in another bet)

3 In the second round the 3* finalists all start by carrying forward 25% of their score from the first round added to the 150 points that can bet used in the second round. The person who qualifies for the final with the most points also gets an additional 10pt bet. (*if the number of participants gets to 7 or more, then a 4th finalist place will be added and then one more for every 5 players on top of that).

4 Betting Masters, first group stages runs from 0000 on the first of the month (standard UK time) to 2359hrs on the 20th of the month. Then the top four* posters come together in a mini league from there on until the end of the month.
Final bet settlement must occur before 2359 on the last day of the month.

5 Naturally the winner is the person with the highest score at the end of the last day of the month.

6 Scoring consists of total winnings and is inclusive of 10 point stake i.e. someone bets on a 6/4 horse and it wins their score becomes 25 (15 points profits plus the 10 pt stake) There is no score for any bets not used. Losing bets are scored as zero, not -10.
Any bet from an exchange bookie will have a 4% commission (on the winnings), if nothing else is explicitly stated in the post.

7 Players must quote where they're getting their prices.

8 Singles and upwards accepted.

9 For boxed multis and bets such as Yankees, each separate bet within the bet counts as separate and will cost 10pts per bet. e.g. ten trebles from five selections will use up 100 points.

10. E/W bets are counted as two bets in the masters, which means 10 points x 2

11. For tracking purposes, players are requested to put the outcome of their bets on the post for all events other than European soccer/tennis.

12. Where possible players are requested to put down a running total of their bets in their posts, although I'll also try and produce rolling league tables where possible.

13. After a bet has been posted up, one is not allowed to edit it..

14. The bets must be possible to do in real life, meaning for example that if you got a multi, all the odds have to come from 1 bookmaker. You can’t shop around for the highest odds and put them together. "Special promotion" type bets are not allowed though BOG (Best Odds Guaranteed) are.

15. Bets must be placed at odds of 1/10 (or 1.1 in decimal) or higher

16. Any Draw No Bet bets where the result is a push will always have the bet settled as void, never 10pts. Any asian handicap bet where the result is a push (in full) will have the bet settled as void. Any asian handicap where half of the stake is returned will be marked down as 5pts with the remainder of the Asian handicap settled as a win or a loss (this is applicable for asian handicaps such as 2.25 or -2, -2.5 etc)

17. In the event that a player is not sure if their bet will finish in time, before midnight on the 20th or midnight for qualifying midnight on the final day of the month for the final, they can make a provisional bet or bets which then become actual bets only if their original selection(s) finishes at 12.01am or after.

So where will he play then? Wouldnt be surprised if for first game hes out on RW considering Olise's injury....... It seems that his best position though is CAM/ Attacking mid..... were we to sell Eze in the next 12 months I'd imagine hed slot in well there too.....

Twitter: Scott Banks to Blackpool

According to Nixon, sounds like permanent transfer likely to happen.

Reading between the lines sounds like fee between £500k to £1m. Probably on the lower end on that scale.

Juventus banned from Europe. Chelsea fined.

vendredi 28 juillet 2023

To view the link you have to Register or Login Obviously Chelsea couldn't be banned from Europe as they didn't qualify. :p Having said that, they self-reported the breach from the Abrahamovich era so I feel some sympathy. Not for Juve - good to see Fiorentina taking their place.

Crystal Ball: Pre season punt

A little over two weeks until the season starts so you have more than enough time to make your punts. Will this be the season for glory, another middle of the road run or flirting with disaster? Vote and we will see.

In addition, the Crystal Ball team needs a couple of volunteers to boost our numbers as natural attrition sees some of us move onto other things. If you can help, please send me a PM. Many hands etc.

Now TM is injured… Lewis Hall should be our yearly loan from Chelsea, cover at left back is a must

Sinead O’Conner

RIP

Suggestion: Robin Gosens

Looks like Inter willing to sell him, he looked really good whenever I saw him. Would normally never mention it but Wolfsburg, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth rumoured to want him, 29 but he's absolute quality, puts in a great defensive shift, gets a good few goals each season. Works his bollocks off every game. Great cross on him too. Get him on a 3 year deal and I reckon we'd be set for the season. Probably get him for under 17 million. He'll definitely fill some of that star quality we lost with Zaha

Speculation: When will be sign a player?

Here we go!

When will we sign a player this window?

I'll be keepin eye out on their games now, anyone else interested?

Chris Bart-Williams dies 24/7/23

lundi 24 juillet 2023

Former Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest midfielder Chris Bart-Williams has died aged 49.

Sheffield Wednesday confirmed he had died in the United States, where he was a coach and mentor.

The club added: " We are deeply saddened at the passing of our former player Chris Bart-Williams."

Bart-Williams started his career at Leyton Orient and scored on his full debut for the club in a 4-0 win against Tranmere Rovers as a 16-year-old.

He joined the Owls in 1991 and made more than 100 appearances for the club.

Bart-Williams moved to Forest in 1995 and made more than 200 outings for the City ground side before stints at Charlton and Ipswich Town.

His death comes on the same day as that of Trevor Francis, who Forest made Britain's first £1m footballer when they signed him from Birmingham City in 1979.

Francis also managed Bart-Williams when he was in charge of Sheffield Wednesday and brought him on as a substitute in the 1993 FA Cup final, which saw the Owls beaten by Arsenal following a replay.

"Bart-Williams' untimely passing mirrors that of his manager at Hillsborough, Trevor Francis, who also died on this, one of the darkest days in our long history," added Sheffield Wednesday in a statement.

Former Sheffield Wednesday striker Mark Bright described Bart-Williams as "a wonderfully gifted player, with a huge personality, and a very charismatic guy".

He added: "To know him was to love him, sending love to his family, friends and former team-mates."

Former Sheffield Wednesday keeper Kevin Pressman said: "Devastating day, to hear the news of Trevor Francis passing and my former team-mate Chris Bart Williams, both taken so soon, RIP Trevor and Chris."

At Forest, Bart-Williams helped the club win the old First Division title in 1997-98 to achieve promotion to the Premier League.

Former Forest goalkeeper Mark Crossley posted on Twitter: "I'm so upset to hear the news of Trevor Francis passing and my former team mate Chris Bart Williams, both so young, it is so sad , RIP Trevor and Chris."

Ex-England striker Darren Bent, who played with Bart-Williams at Charlton, said: "RIP My former team mate Chris Bart-Williams, thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends."

Former Coventry and Liverpool striker David Speedie tweeted: "Just when I thought the day couldn't get any worse, I've heard the devastating news Chris Bart-Williams has passed away. My thoughts go out to the family and friends of Chris at this difficult time. RIP Chris."

How you feeling about the new season?

Got to be honest feeling a bit flat. Partly Zaha going, partly the lack of transfers, and partly there being more news stories about our best players leaving, than about players coming in.

Hopefully there will be a few exciting transfers incoming and even if not then as the start of the season approaches the buzz will return. But right now feel the club needs a lift.

Wilf Watch

Now that It's more or less a given that he's signed for Galatasary, he is no longer a current player for us.
I'm sure that so many of us will want to keep up with his playing and achievements, that those of us who want to continue supporting and encouraging him to do well .
This is the place:lux:

Adlers will soon be putting his CPFC thread into memory Lane.

So let us use this thread to encourage him in his new endeavours, and to support him where ever he finds himself.
:p

Are we satisfied with being the underdog?

I’d be interested in finding out whether people prefer to be the underdogs uncovering hidden gems and developing talent to then sell them on or if we had a huge cash injection and was immediately one of the big boys with a huge stadium ect.

Also another point, if we were taken over in the same scenario as Newcastle or Man City - would all hell break loose in the club or would people see it as an opportunity.

I feel like being a small club in a massive pond makes that rare Wembley trip or other big achievement just that little bit better.

Trevor Francis

Viv Anderson has posted on Instagram that Trevor Francis has died...

Nothing official anywhere else I can see at the moment.

Mods, wasn't quite sure where this would fit so if in wrong forum please move.

Premier league summer series friendlys

Sky currently showing games with villa Newcastle Chelsea Brighton Brentford Fulham those needing there football fix been some good games 4 3 ,3 3 ,3 2 next games Wednesday I think . Would be good competitive games for the players and bring there summer signings in to squads .

Suggestion: Theo Walcott

Good age profile for Roy at 34. You’ll know what you’ll get every week as he makes the same decisions in the final third he did at the start of his career. On a free. Hole in the squad for a winger.

Makes sense to everyone, no?

Dog issue - holiday

I am turning to the BBS for some help...

We have a dog, she is 3 years old and has just been diagnosed with degenerative joint disease, she isn't in too much pain at present but has been acting odd for last 6 months which prompted the investigation, and now we know why she didn't want to go on long walks or walks at all, and was being a bit grumpy

As we have had to limit her world (behaviourist and vet advice) she has developed a noise sensitivity and is reluctant to go anywhere now

We are a family of 4 that were looking fwd to a holiday, we got a dog as we are very much an outdoorsy family that enjoy long walks, etc, and for those holidays abroad have used a recommended kennels, now we aren't too keen on kennels due to the above, but have no alternatives

A UK holiday, where we take the dog is also not looking likely. She is very much part of the family and dearly loved but we just don't know which way to turn next.

Pain meds will obviously help her, and will help with her behaviour but they wont resolve the long term issue

Does anyone have experience of such situations and have any advice?

Speculation: Who wants Gray

I'm finding this Gray talk very disconcerting.

1. He's a reserve at Everton
2. He's 27
3. 14m Euro is hugely overpriced
4. Doesn't fit our transfer strategy
5. Would really piss me off

If we go for him then we all may as well give up.

Crystal Palace Sports Arena

I returned to the Arena yesterday & felt let down for those who want to use
A sports facility that they feel proud of.

It is so neglected, rotting wood, boarded up windows.
It is becoming a run down blight like the Old facade

The Lord Mayor of London what are you doing ?

The young people of south London NEED an outlet, need a place to practice.
Yet they turn to other means due to boredom in life.

You want ( yet it seems you don’t care) to tackle knife crime
You say you want to tackle obesity ( prove it)
You say you want to tackle pollution ( by taking more money from London people)

Was highly regarded at Spurs for a while, but recently seems to have dropped down their pecking order and seems to be about to move to (debatably) a smaller club than us.

If we were to lose a CB this transfer window, would he be a good choice as a replacement? Or has he really been found out to not be all that?

Ya know, just because we need a corresponding thread.

Global catastrophe inevitable?

Click bait title.

But following on from JSO thread is humanity ****ed?

Do human beings struggle too much with contemplating long term consequences, making the necessary change impossible in regards to global warming?

Are those at the top too sociopathic so don’t care about the consequences even for their kids and grandchildren?

Are the older generation too selfish in terms of being much more right wing and protecting their interests?

Personally I think huge societal change is possible, if not likely.

But I can see why people are pessimistic about humanities future.

Premier League 2 Changes

From this season the Premier League 2 Format is changing from two divisions to one. All 25 teams will play 20 games per season using the "Swiss Model" so, 6 games less than last season.

The 25 Clubs will split into 5 Pots based on their previous three seasons worth of performances. They will play the other 4 sides in their pot plus additional games from other teams.

At the end of the 20 games the top 16 will then have a knockout tournament to crown the PL2 Champion.

Melbourne - Victoria cancels 2026 commonwealth games.

lundi 17 juillet 2023

News just breaking that Melbourne and rural Victoria is pulling out of hosting the Commonwealth games in 2026. Due to overspending here in the State, with numerous massive infrastructure projects all happening at the same time. The excuse being hosting the games, particularly in the regions was causing high-cost blowouts. From an anticipated 2 Billion AUD now up to 6 Billion.

Wonder where they will be held now, or is it the end of them?

London is going to be a tad surprised when they wake up to this news in the morning.

Shame there is no by elections in Bedfordshire as Nadine Dorris is still holding on to her seat.

Left winger, just turned 24, who should be available after Leeds went down. Was brilliant for Feyenoord before joining Leeds last summer and very good when not injured last season.

Leeds have done a few season long loans (obviously for a fee) so could be a 'try before you buy' option. Personally I'd prefer him to Sarr.

3. Gift Orban
4. Sacha Boey
5. Willy Gnonto

Reckon we would finish top 8 with these additions.

FFP is really working

According to reports UEFA has fined Manchester United for a breach of FFP regulations:

Quote:

Manchester United have been fined 300,000 euros (£257,000) by Uefa for a "minor" breach of Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.

They were one of a number of clubs sanctioned by Uefa under FFP rules in place between 2019 and 2022.

United said they were "disappointed by the outcome".

However, they added the club accepted the fine "for what Uefa acknowledges to be a minor technical breach of its previous Financial Fair Play rules".

In explaining the reason for the punishment, United continued that "this reflected a change in the way that Uefa adjusted for Covid-19 losses during the 2022 reporting period, which allowed us to recognise only 15m euros of the 281m euros of revenues lost due to the pandemic within the FFP calculation".
The words "minor" breach and a club claiming Euro 281m of losses against a recognised loss of Euro 15m seems a bit of a stretch.

If i was at work and submitted an expenses claim for £281 and someone said hang-on it only adds up to £15 I doubt is I would be working for the same company today.

Surely the Premier League will act!!

Rumour: Matheus França

jeudi 13 juillet 2023

We have apparently offered €15m for Franca:

Flamengo: Crystal Palace offers 15 million euros for Matheus França

Crystal Palace entered strongly in the dispute for Matheus França and presented this week to Flamengo an official proposal worth 15 million euros (R$ 80.5 million).

The tendency is for the Rubro-Negro to make a decision in the coming days about the transfer. The Rio de Janeiro club does not see the need to sell, but understands that the player is an important asset and, therefore, has greater negotiating power.

In early July, Flamengo warned the market that it would like to receive 25 million euros (R$ 134.5 million) for the young attacking midfielder, in a package that could include bonuses for goals achieved.

Chelsea are also keenly interested in the 19-year-old and have had concrete talks with the parties involved for days. The blues even had a proposal turned down in January.

The American John Textor, an investor in SAF do Botafogo, is the biggest enthusiast of signing France for Crystal Palace, as he is also a shareholder in the English club.

At the age of 19, Matheus França is in his second solid season in Flamengo's professional team. In 2023, he made 28 appearances, scored three goals and provided one assist.

Still have nightmares about that volley he scored against us when he flicked it over Jedi and volleyed it home.

Karen Carney: Women's football in England could be a 'billion pound industry'

To view the link you have to Register or Login

Domestic women's football could become a "billion pound industry" in 10 years' time says former Lionesses midfielder Karen Carney - the chair of a major review into the sport.

Her 126-page report recommends the top two tiers of women's football in England being fully professional.

It also calls for a new regular broadcast slot for women's football to be made available on television.
..continues

What do we think? I think it's an inaliable fact that Women's football will see an influx of investors, and soon. It's almost green field at present, there is significant room for growth, huge potential, and we started our Pro team at just the right time. Now we need to aim for promotion so that girls can really push on.

23/24 memberships

Not sure which section to put this but this seems closest.

I want to renew my gold membership again. The blurb buried somewhere on the site said these would be available today but if you follow the info links it shows them as ‘sold out’. The urgency is that I hoped to watch tomorrows friendly on palace tv. Assuming it’s the same as previous years the palace tv comes as part of the gold membership so don’t want to subscribe twice (palace tv subs are available).

They also mention a sub just for the friendlies. Do we know if they have separated this out completely as a one off purchase outside of the rest or is it still included in any palace tv/gold membership. As the match is tomorrow there isn’t a lot of time to sort it out so if anyone knows, please share.

Fair Game: The Fight for a better future for football

dimanche 9 juillet 2023

On the 17th of July, Fair Game will release its much anticipated and needed ‘Fair Game Index’. The Index will rank all 92 Premier League and EFL clubs, using 4 criteria, taken from Tracey Crouch's Fan-Led Review; financial sustainability, governance, fan engagement and equality standards.*
*
Using Fair Game’s Index, those who are well-run would be rewarded financially according to their performance against the 4 criteria. The funds to reward our well-run clubs would be collected from Premier League transfer levies and a fairer distribution of the current astronomical TV revenues.*
*
In recent times, a large proportion of football clubs seem to have been run through a ‘boom or bust’ nature, putting at risk the livelihoods of those working at our clubs and the clubs themselves,* which often act as an anchor of the local community. In 2019, Bury FC, who had 125 years in the Football League, were expelled from the EFL and dissolved due to bankruptcy. Meanwhile in 2020, Macclesfield Town received a winding-up order which ended their 146 year-old history with English football.*
*
Fair Game's Index and its proposed new distribution of funding would put an end to that gambling culture and reward well-run clubs.
*
Find out how Crystal Palace did by going to the Fair Game website on July the 17th. If you register you can also see how much they would get from the proposed funding model. Please also write to your MP or local Councillor and ask them to support the creation of an Independent Regulator for English Football, or ask your club to become a Fair Game Club.
*
Together we can create a fairer future for football.

Lessons from a Blitzer-owned club: Real Salt Lake

This is long. There's a TLDR at the bottom.

Although Blitzer is no longer heavily involved with Palace, it's interesting to see how the multi-club model is working and what to expect since Textor does it too and it is increasingly popular in the world of football.

History: In January of 2022 when the group Blitzer was a part of first took over RSL there was a lot of excitement and talk that connections to clubs (like Palace) would have an immediate impact. People started talking about getting players like Benteke (who eventually went to non-Blitzer D.C. United). This didn't pan out. There was no immediate influx of cash or players and new manager Pablo Mastroeni was asked to do a lot with little. RSL had a few solid veteran players and really only one young player showing promise in RB Aaron Hererra. Eighteen months later, Hererra has moved on and RSL is flooded with young talent and looking twice the team that they were.

Lesson 1 Scouting Network: RSL has used the draft and purchases of developing players to great advantage.

MLS has a player draft where teams select and obtain the rights to graduating US collegiate players. Players like Jacob Montes come from this and end up 23 year-old rookies who never break into the first team. The "best" player ever selected in the MLS draft is probably former Stoke and QPR defender Geoff Cameron. Surprisingly, for two years in a row, RSL has drafted a collegiate player who immediately had an impact and got first team minutes in Jasper Löffelsend and Emeka Eneli. Loffelsend will probably always be a low-level squad player but Eneli has proven very dependable at RB and DM. People outside the club haven't noticed yet but he is good.

RSL also obtained the rights to U19 Diego Luna who looks and plays much older than he is and makes up for lack of pace with excellent field vision and passing (think a tatted-up Will Hughes). After a year with the team Luna has finally broken in as a dynamic first-team starter and is making noise in the league after a great showing with the U21 USMNT.

On top of all that, a recent influx of young Colombian players Andres Gomez, Brayan Vera, and Nelson Palacio have immediately added much needed youth and flair to the RSL first team.

All this is to say RSL scouting has been great in North and South America right from the jump with the new owners. A cut above other teams in the league. It took 18 months but is showing through now which is sooner than reasonably could have been expected. Note that the previous owner built an excellent academy by US standards four years ago and it is only just now starting to pay dividends. Not sure if they'd have gotten that from the current owners.

Lesson 2 Shady Deals: The managerial equivalent of the dark arts in football. Owners of multiple-clubs can use loans and player transfers to circumvent fair-play and financial regulations. It's not all bad though. In most cases, if you have an overpaid player who isn't performing they hang around like an albatross. Not so if you are part of a multi-club group. Almost every RSL loan last season involved a Blitzer-owned club and while impact on the pitch was low, the loans mattered to club finances. When the books are going to balance either way, getting a loan done for players like Sergio Cordova and Everton Luiz are much easier. This is also a good thing for the players who can get a new opportunity without a pay cut if their current club/manager isn't a good fit. I imagine it might help recruit younger players with lots of potential who know they can get a move if they get stuck. If clubs like Chelsea are going to play these games, smaller clubs at least can try to keep up.

Lesson 3 Backing the manager: Viewing the club as an investment isn't ideal but it does mean the owners want to enhance the club's value. I'm convinced that the results of 18 months of good scouting and talent development combined with savvy player transfers have made it feasible for RSL to pull the trigger on the biggest deal in club history bringing Colombian Cristian "Chicho" Arango in. Chicho scored 16 goals last season and won the MLS cup with LAFC. With a good striker, RSL is at a high water mark right now and has a chance to really compete this season after a long struggle.

Why didn't we see this when Blitzer got involved with Palace? Two reasons. first, the Premier League is at too high a level, more than a step above the level of RSL. The costs are much higher, the stakes are much higher and the competition includes super-rich clubs that will cut your throat to get the best players. Second, Parish rightfully maintained control of Palace limiting what Blitzer could do.Textor seems in a better position to take advantage of links to Palace. He has hooks in better clubs (Lyon and Botafogo are considerably better than FC Augsburg and RSL). Given time, we might see more benefits from the relationship than just the occasional U21 player loaned to Molenbeek.

Overall. I don't like the multi-club ownership model. It's still better in every way to a Sovereign Wealth Fund.

TL DR: RSL has seemingly benefitted from being part of the Blitzer group of clubs. In just 18 months they have shown savvy scouting, recruitment, player investment, and a willingness to back the manager when the finances are in order. Things aren't all rosy and football is still ultimately doomed but it's something.

Rumour: Callum Hudson-Odoi

Callum Hudson-Odoi has decided to leave Chelsea this summer...

....But Hudson-Odoi feels the time has come to move to a club where he has a better chance of regular first team football. Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, Fulham and AC Milan are among the clubs who are interested.

A transfer fee to seal Hudson-Odoi’s departure has still to be agreed but the winger is expecting to resolve his future soon so he can prepare for the season at his new club.

Suggested Team and Formation For: Sheffield United (away)

lundi 3 juillet 2023

Everything is looking good as things currently stand. Always tough the opening game of the season against newly promoted teams but in Roy (and the board) we trust. A point would be a terrific result, and boost our chances of avoiding relegation, because we can hopefully win the reverse fixture.

——————-———-Johnstone——————————-
Ward———-Andersen————-Guehi————-Mitchell
——————Doucoure————Lerma————————-
Ayew—————————Eze—————————-Schlupp
——————————-Edouard————————————

It’s great we’ve been prepared for once, and managed to sort out the important business really early. Lerma is going to give us so much solidity in the centre of midfield for Roy’s double pivot. Schlupp will be like a new player in his wide left role. If we can sign Wilf it’ll just be the icing on the cake. Very excited for the new season, Edouard’s finally going to get the service he needs. Hoping for 0-0. Would be a brilliant point. (It’s not too early, the next 5 or so weeks will tick down really quickly.) COYP.

Palace TV problem

You require a selected membership or palace tv+ subscription to access this video

I'm getting this message when I try and watch a full 90min game.

I've already bought next seasons Season Ticket+ and this should be available to me. Is anyone else having this problem?

Suggestion: Ashley Young

I know...........but bear with me. He played 29 times in the PL last season, 23 starts, and can play right or left back. I thought he looked good last season and was often Villa's first choice rb. In the absence of us doing anything else in the full back positions then surely worth a 1 year deal on a free. Would also seem a Roy type of player.

Thoughts?

Popular Palace players/managers that were popular with other fans too

Apologies for the long thread title, and if this has been done before.

Examples of what I'm talking about:

Nigel Martyn, very popular also with Leeds and Everton fans.
Steve Coppell - Man Utd and also Reading.

The Premier league

samedi 1 juillet 2023

So what do we thing of the other teams in the Premier league? Let's start with Arsenal
Arsenal As long as I have watched football since the 70-s they have been the biggest club in London. I just find supporting Arsenal a safe an easy option, they are always reasonably successful, play nice football and generally it's all just a bit dull.
