I know...........but bear with me. He played 29 times in the PL last season, 23 starts, and can play right or left back. I thought he looked good last season and was often Villa's first choice rb. In the absence of us doing anything else in the full back positions then surely worth a 1 year deal on a free. Would also seem a Roy type of player.
