Everything is looking good as things currently stand. Always tough the opening game of the season against newly promoted teams but in Roy (and the board) we trust. A point would be a terrific result, and boost our chances of avoiding relegation, because we can hopefully win the reverse fixture.

It’s great we’ve been prepared for once, and managed to sort out the important business really early. Lerma is going to give us so much solidity in the centre of midfield for Roy’s double pivot. Schlupp will be like a new player in his wide left role. If we can sign Wilf it’ll just be the icing on the cake. Very excited for the new season, Edouard’s finally going to get the service he needs. Hoping for 0-0. Would be a brilliant point. (It’s not too early, the next 5 or so weeks will tick down really quickly.) COYP.
