Much to the delight of Maidstone Eagle, I am seeking advice with a PC computer issue.
Over the last few days when shutting down my PC it has "suggested" I do an update. Being somewhat gullible, I accepted this "Update and shutdown" request.
Next morning, I can get on my browser (Firefox) but no websites will open. After half a day of frustration I uninstall and reinstall Firefox and it seems to work as normal again.
Today, I get the same "Update and shutdown" request and like the fool I am I accept that. Once again browser opens but website will not open (neither Firefox, Chrome or even Edge).
After much Googling on my phone (WiFi working fine) I see something about disconnecting my Ethernet, which is how I have my PC set up. I disconnect the Ethernet, and sure as heck browsers work fine (hence me being able to post this). I plug the Ethernet cable back in, and sure as shit websites are not accessible again.
More Google searching is not helping beyond telling me to check the cable, which I really don't think is the issue. I'm convinced it is something associated with the Windows update.
Any ideas other than getting an Apple?
