Seeing Bipe's comment below in the Ronnie Radford RIP thread got me thinking about this.
Radford's goal was most certainly iconic. Other contenders, imho, would be:
Maradona - both goals against England in 1986, but for reasons at completely opposite ends of the spectrum (cheating bastard / absolute brilliance);
Ricky Villa for Spurs v Man City in the FA Cup Final;
Geoff Hurst in 1966 "They think it's all over...";
But for me I think the most iconic goal was Brazil's brilliant goal by Carlos Alberto in the WC Final against Italy in 1970, brilliant play in the build-up, and Pele's almost nonchalant lay-off into CA's path.
